It has been brought to my attention that "Neighbors for Preservation of Old Leawood" signs were stolen this weekend out of some neighbors yards.
One neighbor said that five minutes after her sign was placed in her yard, a middle aged woman drove up, yanked the sign out of the yard, chucked it into her trunk and then drove off.
The support for this cause has been overwhelming. For those of you wanting signs for your yard, we'll hopefully be placing another order this week. Just contact me at www.traybella@hotmail.com and we'll add your address to the list.
If you have a sign in your yard, please make sure that it is 6 feet from the curb.

A Community Effort
Hello and welcome to Preserve "Old Leawood".
We look forward to your comments, constructive or critical, to this neighborhood means of communication.
Old Leawood is experiencing a teardown boom. Our homes are being demolished and replaced with dramatically larger, out of scale structures. This is not about judging someone for having too large of a home, but striving for keeping the character of this neighborhood. Also known as the 'city of trees', there is a high concern about big, old, beautiful trees being knocked down to make way for these larger structures.
We, as homeowners, have a say in the future of Old Leawood. Planning should not be left to developers, speculators and profiteers whose only motive is to turn a profit and move on.
We look forward to your comments, constructive or critical, to this neighborhood means of communication.
